Why Customers Aren’t Coming – #7489

If you’ve driven across America much, you might have seen a sign at one point that says “Wall Drug Store”. It’s in Wall, South Dakota. They advertise all over the country. I was even in Singapore and I saw an arrow pointing West. It said something like “Wall Drug Store 10,000 miles.” This once little drug store in an unknown town grew into a major tourist attraction. On some days I’ve heard they’ll draw like 20,000 people! But it wasn’t always that way.

In 1931 a young pharmacist and his wife bought the drug store in Wall, a dusty little town on the edge of the Badlands. And for five years, they barely eked out a living. They were on the verge of giving up, and then the druggist’s wife had an idea. Because of the new Mt. Rushmore attraction, lots of cars were going by but they weren’t stopping. Her idea? Advertise the one thing those travelers needed after driving across that hot prairie in the 1930’s – ice water. So they put out signs for free ice water and people began to stop. The rest is history. Here’s what the couple said looking back over the years at the amazing things that had happened. No matter where you live; you can succeed because wherever you are, you can reach out to other people with something they need! Read More…

Is Jesus Really Coming Back?

One only has to read a newspaper or listen to a newscast in order to see Bible prophecy being fulfilled. There have been more prophecies fulfilled in the twentieth century than in any other time in church history. We believe there is a great reason for this. We believe that the time is rapidly approaching for the Lord Jesus Christ to return to this earth and take the kingdoms of this world for Himself.

In this tract, we will attempt to show you from God’s word the chronological order of future prophetic events. That is, we will attempt to TEACH you some basic Bible doctrine about the Second Coming. It is our prayer that you will read carefully through these pages, asking the Holy Spirit of God to lead and guide you through the truths in His word (Jhn. 16:13). Please check all Scripture references very carefully for a better understanding. May God richly bless your study. Read More…

It is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

All the religions of the world deny this. Cults deny it in many ways but primarily because they add works to salvation, as the Catholics do. The Third Wave denies this doctrine on a number of counts. They very rarely preach the full gospel message but rather a message of “Repent and come to Jesus”. That is not the full gospel message. Where there is no mention of the cross and redemption through the grace of God alone in Christ alone, that is where there is a false gospel being preached. They also deny the full indwelling of the Holy Spirit at salvation by their doctrine of a transferable impartation “anointing” second baptism of the Spirit, thus denying the biblical definition of salvation. The need for the Holy Spirit to be “imparted” or “transferred” by human hands denies the gospel of grace alone. This doctrine is one of the most important core doctrines of Christianity and one that is being attacked most often. Benny Hinn and others like him are redefining the very core of Christianity which is salvation by grace ALONE through faith ALONE in Christ ALONE. Read More…

Basic Bible Doctrines

The five basic doctrines of the Christian faith are taken from a book called “The Fundamentals” edited by R.A. Torrey with contributors such as H.A. Ironside and C.I. Scofield. In 1909, God led two Christian laymen to set aside a large sum of money for issuing twelve volumes which would set forth the fundamentals of the Christian faith. These were called The Fundamentals, and consisted of messages written by well-known defenders of the faith from several different denominations. These twelve volumes of The Fundamentals were mailed free to over 300,000 ministers, missionaries and other Christian workers in different parts of the world. The response was far beyond any expectation. The Bible Institute of Los Angeles (BIOLA) through its publication, The King’s Business printed additional copies to meet the demand and finally combined the volumes into a four volume set which was also widely circulated. It was written as a defense of the Christian faith against liberalism, but holds true today in serving as a helpful aid in distinguishing heresy from truth.

There are five basic doctrines of the Christian Church. These doctrines put into simple language the basic theology of our faith, taking into account the full teaching of the Word of God in context. Without these five doctrines any individual cannot consider themselves to be a Bible believing, Christ centered, Spirit baptized, Christian. Please understand that we believe that there are many, many Christians today from varied backgrounds and denominations who fully believe and teach the five core doctrines of the faith. These doctrines permeate their teaching at every level. We also recognize that there are many false teachers today who call themselves “Christians” but deny one or more of these core doctrines by teaching explicitly or implicitly against them. Read More…
